Goolsby Customs builds award-winning hot rods and muscle cars out of Hueytown, Alabama. From bare frame to finished car, we handle every step of the build.

Jonathan Goolsby has been building and customizing cars for over twenty years. What started in a home garage turned into twelve-plus years as head painter at the local Chevrolet dealership, where he built a reputation for paint and bodywork that people took notice of. Along the way, he put together cars for a growing list of customers and for himself. That work led to magazine features, magazine covers, and multiple SEMA show builds.

In 2005, Jonathan and his wife Vonda made it official and opened the doors to Goolsby Customs. The goal was simple: build at a level most shops can’t touch and never cut corners getting there. Twenty years later, that’s still the standard.

What We Build

We do complete, ground-up builds. We sit down with every customer and figure out exactly what they want. How it should look. How it should drive. What needs to be under the hood. Then we build it right.

Every car that leaves our shop is a finished, turn-key hot rod or muscle car. That means fabrication, drivetrain, wiring, paint, bodywork, interior, and final assembly. All done in house. All done to a level we’re proud to put our name on.

We only use parts from the best manufacturers in the industry. Paired with our team’s experience in fabrication, paint, and assembly, that’s how we deliver cars that look great, run strong, and are easy to drive.
